Laid-back Autumn Look

Hi guys! It’s been awhile since I’ve posted on here! A few new, big things have been going on in life so far. I am officially a New Yorker! Deadass. I’ve been here for three years and I love it. Times Square is amazing, the museums, the art, everything is so amazing! But sometimes, the city can be a little overwhelming. That is why I like to keep my style comfy and convienent. I purchased this oversized poncho at a local pop-up shop and let me tell you, the compliments have been generous ever since. On my lips, I have been obsessed with the perfect nude for women of color. It’s the NYX Lingerie collection in LIPLI, topped with MAC’s lipgloss titled OH BABY. Perfect for the natural makeup look. I promise I’ll start the new year with makeup tutorials, look books, recipes, and even an update on my new online shop! But as of now, I’m going to enjoy my holidays. Thanksgiving celebration starts next week. After that, I’m off to Florida to soak up some sun. But I will be back, for sure to share my arts. So stay tuned.

xoxo

Fine Wine

Faux Leather Jacket: rue21
High-low Skirt: Garage
Heels: Lane Bryant
Handbag: Anne Klein
Gold Chain Necklace: Forever21

Wow! Who knew taking pictures in a nature park would be so awkward. It was definitely out of my comfort zone. Whenever someone walked past us, I would look so embarrassed. But it was so worth it. It's great practice for me to be more comfortable in front of the camera for once. I love how the pictures came out and afterwards we got to chill by the beach. I even saw a horse shoe crab! I'm in the mood for some retail therapy so expect a haul to come very soon for I'm still in the process of building my wardrobe with some more staple pieces. Other than that, I know this isn't really much of a spring look but it's still rather chilly in the Carolinas so for now, this will do. Does it feel like spring where you're from?

Spring into Florals

Spring is here! Which means that it's only necessary to whip out the curls and florals. I decided to spend my spring break with my lovely boyfriend in Florida and after a day at the zoo, we decided to shoot a quick ootd. The cut-out top has gold embellishments on the collar which automatically transforms it into a statement piece. I found it on the sales rack in #bodycentral for only $5. What a steal, right?
The floral skirt was thrifted for $3 but it's originally from #forever21 which is a very good find in my opinion.
I decided that since I have a lot going on I'd finish the outfit with some comfortable flesh toned wedges. As for nail varnishes, I'm wearing Do You Lilac It by O.P.I. It's the perfect purple for darker skin tones without looking too chalky.
My spring break is finally over and back to my normal life I go. I enjoyed the sleeping in and sunny weather but I miss my family and friends. Peace out Florida, it's been real.
